Kaetrin, I saw your article at Dear Author! Our responses to this book were so similar. My review went up today too. I took a similar approach, but without the quotes-I worried a lot that I might offend. I feel very much out of sorts on this subject as a whole. Outside of the stuff we didn’t like, I did like the characters though. I’ll be very careful with any future books in this series.

Thx for the heads up! 🙂 I liked the characters too but much of it I didn’t understand and when it came to Gordy, I both didn’t understand but also was vaguely repulsed (or not so vaguely) by. I think I was probably supposed to feel that way about him but it made for some uncomfortable moments when reading.
