A few years ago I picked up a romance book for the first time since I was a teenager and since then I haven’t stopped reading romance. About the same time, I also discovered the romance community online and blogs and Twitter. I found myself joining in the discussions online and it occurred to me I had something to say about the books I was reading. So Kaetrin’s Musings was born. It’s the best feeling to help a reader find a book they love and talking romance books is one of my favourite things to do.

I’ve been blogging for over 9 years now and it’s still fun.  I also review books and audiobooks at Dear Author. I love being part of the community, part of the discussion and I love romance. I read ebooks and print as well as listen on audio. I love contemporaries, historicals, paranormals, urban fantasy (with a strong romantic element), romantic suspense, erotic romance, even the occasional inspirational; as long as it has a HEA, I’m usually happy to give it a try. I’m an equal opportunity reader – I love queer romance as well as m/f and menage (although I’m not a fan of twincest). I love angsty books and funny books, long books and short books. The only thing mandatory is a happy ending.

I live in South Australia with my husband and daughter and when I’m not reading, I enjoy cooking (especially anything cake related), music, movies, surfing the web (mostly at Bluesky these days) and spending time with my family.

I can be contacted via the form here or at kaetrin67 AT gmail DOT com. If you’re an author and would like me to review your book, please refer to my review policy.
